PCC is affilated with the " Evangelical Free Church of America ", a family of approximately 1300 autonomous evangelical churches in the U.S.A. "Evangelical" is a term describing conservative Christianity. Evangelicals believe that the Bible is the very Word of God, and that it authoritatively answers the really big questions facing humanity: Who are we? Where did we come from? What is wrong in our world? What happens after all this?" Without the Bible, we really have no answers to these most critical questions. However if the Bible is really a revelation from our Creator to us, i.e. if the Bible is really true because God is its author, then its message is the most important thing in our world! We believe there is every evidence that the Bible is in fact THE TRUTH. The EFCA Logo

At an evangelical church like PCC, you will find everything we believe and practice is rooted in this special revelation of God to us we call the Bible. The term "evangelical" itself comes from a word in the New Testament that means "to share the good news". The good news, the gospel, is that even though mankind fell into sin, God loved the world so much that Jesus Christ, God the Son, came out of heaven to our earth to become our Savior. His death on the cross 2000 years ago was no mistake. It was part of the predetermined plan of God making a way for us to come back to Him. Being reconciled to God is only possible since Jesus Christ took our sins upon himself and received punishment for our sin that we deserve. He died in our place as our substitute so that we would not have to face God in judgment some day. Based on what Jesus did, God now offers salvation freely to anyone who will turn from their sin and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Evangelicals are still proclaiming this message, the best of all news!
